| Did you know that there are 8 local support groups for people living with MS and their carepartners? We encourage everyone to participate in a group. You are not alone. Making a connection with someone else who is affected by this disease can be so helpful in coping and in negotiating health-related decisions. Remember, all groups are to remain focused on providing a positive environment to exchange information and ideas. Mutual support is an important aspect of grouping so individuals are asked to maintain confidentiality and a positive attitude in this group setting. Be sure to thank your volunteer group facilitator for overseeing the meeting!
Princeton, IN support group will meet Saturday, January 22nd, 10 a.m. at Gibson General Hospital in Princeton, 5th floor. Join us for refreshments and an open discussion. Tell City, IN support group will NOT meet in January. Please plan on joining us Tuesday, February 16th at 6:00pm at The Patio for Biogen Idec program and dinner. Washington, IN support group will meet Saturday, January 15th, 10 a.m. at Daviess Community Hospital. Join us for refreshments and an open discussion. Illinois Meeting Dates Carmi, IL support group will Thursday, January 27th at 6:30 p.m. at First Christian Church, Fairfield, IL support group will NOT meet in January. Will resume meetings in February. We have been contacted to start Support Groups in several areas in the tri-state area.
